Summer Meng of BitMars opened her session at Mining Disrupt Miami with a saying from China: important things need to be repeated three times. This year, she said, was her company's third time at the event. She used her short talk to share what a miner seller had learned from the fourth Bitcoin halving, which had happened that April.
The session was recorded June 24–26, 2024. When this session was recorded, Bitcoin traded at $61,272. On October 29, 2026 it was $79,778. Meng introduced BitMars as a company founded in 2017 and one of the oldest and largest companies from China specializing in miner sales.
Three Halvings In
Her first insight was a more mature attitude toward halving. Over the years, she said, both BitMars and its clients have learned to prepare for and anticipate the changes each halving brings. Most clients have adapted their strategies, whether by upgrading to more efficient miners, optimizing energy costs or diversifying their mining portfolios, and she said that maturity helps them make better decisions.
We now understand that halving cycles bring both challenges and opportunities.

Meng said that from 2017 to 2024 the company had witnessed three halving cycles, getting a taste of a bull market and facing the challenges of a bear market without ever stopping. She credited its team and the support of manufacturers including Bitmain and Ice River. She said BitMars has built relationships with over 5,000 clients around the world and a global team of more than 100 professionals, with warehouses in Shenzhen, Hong Kong and the USA. The company keeps a monthly inventory of over 10,000 units on hand, which she said lets it offer clients the best price and efficiency.
Used Miners Find New Homes
Her second point was the used miner opportunity. The halving puts extra pressure on miners with higher power consumption, she said, because the reduced block reward makes it harder to stay profitable. That pushes a significant number of used miners onto the market.
We see this as a great opportunity to move these used miners to the regions with lower electricity costs.

Meng said this benefits clients who want to enter the market at a lower cost, and supports sustainable growth by making the most of existing units.
New Industries Arrive
Third, Meng said more people from different industries are coming into Bitcoin mining because they see the potential for profitable investment.
We are seeing a surge in different industries such as finance, technology, and also the traditional energy sectors.
Summer Meng · 4:14
She said these newcomers bring diverse perspectives and innovative approaches, which benefits clients and drives the evolution of the mining industry as a whole.
The ETF Effect
Her final point was the impact of Bitcoin ETFs. Meng said ETFs have significantly influenced the market by making Bitcoin accessible to a wider range of investors, and that this is expected to have a positive impact on mining. Higher demand for Bitcoin can drive up its price, she said, which in turn makes mining more profitable.
Furthermore, the stable influx of institutional investment can also contribute to the market stability.
Summer Meng · 5:15
That stability, in her view, lets miners plan and invest with greater confidence.
Persistence
Meng closed with a promise of support at every step of a client's mining journey, and a line she offered as the company's attitude toward the market.
In the market, there are frustrations, but at BitMars we only have persistence.
