Bmazon's Four Hosting Sites, From Oklahoma to Alabama

Rong Fu and Logan of Bmazon on the company's hosting, repair center and four US sites at Mining Disrupt Miami 2024.

Recorded · Mining Disrupt Miami 2024 · 5 min session

Rong Fu, business development manager at Bmazon, opened her session at Mining Disrupt Miami 2024, held June 24–26, 2024, with a promise of a short answer. The topic on the slide was how to optimize a mining operation. Her answer came in the first half minute.

And then the first answer will be choose us.

The talk ran under five minutes and was a company presentation. Fu described the services, and a colleague, Logan, walked the room through the sites. The figures below are theirs and were given from the stage; they were not checked with the utilities or the sites.

Hosting, operations and construction

Fu said Bmazon does more than rent space. It hosts machines, runs the operations and helps build sites, and it has a repair center in Oklahoma City.

We do the hosting, and also we do the operations, and also we do help to do the construction.

And also we do have a repair center back in Oklahoma City.

On the communities around its sites, she said the company works closely with local utilities and cities, tries to create local jobs, and hires local employees, then teaches them to repair machines, run operations and manage digital assets. She said the company's current focus is large-scale business, and that it is looking for new hosting. Anyone with power or land ready was invited to booth 60 to talk about working together.

Four sites in three states

Fu said Bmazon had four hosting sites in the United States: two in Oklahoma, one in Kentucky, and a new one running in Alabama. Logan, who introduced himself as the on-site manager for the Kentucky site, gave the numbers.

The Oklahoma City site, he said, had about 7,000 miners on roughly 40 megawatts, with room to grow.

It currently has 7,000 miners running right now, and about 40 megawatts worth of power, but it can be upgraded up to 90 megawatts.

The second Oklahoma site is in Atoka, with more than 5,000 machines by his count. Both Oklahoma sites use hydro cooling; the other two are air-cooled.

Both Oklahoma sites are hydro-cooled.

His own Kentucky site had around 4,000 active miners on about 18 megawatts, and he said its rates were very good. The Alabama site, the newest, is air-cooled with 22 megawatts of capacity and around 5,000 machines.

Hiring

Fu closed by pointing the audience back to booth 60 for anyone considering future work with Bmazon. She also said the company was hiring an on-site manager and an operations assistant, and asked people in the room to send her their resumes. Earlier in the talk she had said the company hires local employees and teaches them to repair and operate the machines.
