Ferveret: Modular Cooling Matches Two-Phase Efficiency

CEO Reza Azizian argues a blended single-phase approach cuts capital costs while maintaining overclocking benefits.

Recorded · Mining Disrupt Fort Lauderdale 2025 · 5 min session

Reza Azizian, CEO and co-founder of Ferveret, told the Mining Disrupt audience that his company’s engineers have cooled nuclear reactors and designed systems for Microsoft and Nvidia. He argued that this background informs Ferveret’s approach to crypto mining: a modular, small-box solution that blends single-phase and two-phase benefits. The session was recorded on March 25–27, 2025, when Bitcoin traded at $87,393. On October 19, 2026, it stood at $82,691.

A Blended Approach to Immersion

Azizian described the Ferveret product as a small modular box. The system allows miners, whether immersion-ready or air-cooled, to be placed into individual units that then stack in racks. This modular design allows operators to attach racks like puzzle pieces to achieve capacities ranging from one to two megawatts or more. He said the goal is to capture the efficiency gains of two-phase cooling without the associated problems and downsides.

you basically take advantage of uh all the benefits and efficiency that you get on the case of two-phase, but you don't have all the problems and downside that comes with it

The primary advantage, Azizian said, is capital cost. He stated that the cost base for the Ferveret solution is the same as single-phase systems, which are significantly cheaper than typical two-phase solutions available in the market. This lower upfront cost is designed to maximize uptime and simplify maintenance, as each individual unit can be serviced without disrupting the entire rack.

Efficiency and Overclocking Data

To support these claims, Azizian presented real data from customer implementations using the S21 immersion miner as a baseline. In a standard single-phase setup, the machine operated at an efficiency of 16 joules per terahash with a total hashrate of about 215. When the exact same machine was placed into the Ferveret solution, it used about one joule per terahash less while maintaining the same hashrate.

you can overclock up to 35% with the exact same efficiency as nominal singlephase solution

Azizian explained that efficiency is tied directly to chip temperature, not just the act of overclocking. By keeping the chip temperature low, operators can push higher hashrates. He said annual profit can rise by up to 35%, and an “ultimate” overclock of about 45% costs only a little efficiency. He also highlighted the stability of the system, noting that a large implementation has run for almost a year with almost 100% uptime without any issues.

Remote Management and Scalability

The talk also covered remote management. Ferveret includes software that allows operators to monitor system vitals and adjust overclocking settings remotely, creating a hands-off operational model. The system can be installed in existing shells or shipped in container form factors, offering flexibility for different site requirements. Azizian invited attendees to booth 261 to see a demo unit and download the data sheet.
